operating a cash register

A cash register is like a big gigantic calculator, it either has big push in buttons or it has touch buttons, you touch or push in the right numbers and there is a big button usually on the right where you add the numbers together, like a total, you have to total every number. the cash drawer pops out of the bottom this is where the cash and checks go.

on new cash registers, they have scanners attached and you aim the upc code at the scanner if its built in or if its a hand held scanner you aim it at the upc symbol, thats the row of veriticle lines on products lately.

Amber:

Might I suggest that after you learn how to operate the cash register, that you go back to school and learn how to spell.

Must you go back to school and learn how to be polite and learn how to think. Amber...it's okay girl if u duno how to do cashier..it takes time to learn right? just write down the steps on a piece of paper once you're training and you can use it as reference. Not eevryone learns the same...some with visual and some with theory. Hope ur doin better at ur job now, it should be easier since u get practice everyday...practice till its a piece of cake!! :)
